We love our trips to the library!
We love going to visit the library. It is great to have so many books to read. Reading is so much fun. The library is a nice quiet space for us to read.
We really enjoyed going on our Spring trail. We had lots of things to spot in the school garden! We were lucky the sun came out to help! 🌞
We are having great fun learning through play! The theme for April is The Garden Centre and sunflowers! We have been planting sunflower seeds! In art we were looking and responding to Vincent Van Gogh’s famous painting “Sunflowers”
Here are some photos of us at the different stations. Playdough, Junk Art, construction , Role play in the Garden Centre and Small World!
Fun with the Tablets!
Senior Infants had great fun using the tablets today. We were practising how to write our sight words using the Sand Draw app!
We wrote with quill feathers today.
We had great fun dancing the Scarecrow dance.
We are learning all about the office this month.
We invited Marie the secretary to our classrooms for an interview. We came up with lots of interesting questions.
Marie was able to answer all these questions for us and said her favourite thing about being a secretary was getting to meet all of us!
The Bus Driver
Senior Infants are learning all about bus drivers this week. Ms. M. McDonnell's class invited Rory the bus driver in for an interview. We learned how to stay safe on the bus and we discovered that bus drivers have to do special driving lessons. We sang 'The wheels on the bus' for Rory and then we designed our own buses for art. We also used a rhyme called 'Bertha the Bus' to learn our letter sounds.
